An expert on empathetic leadership style and a 20-year practitioner of mindfulness/meditation, Rena is dedicated to using Compassionate Leadership, a management methodology she created that connects compassion and accountability, to help humans increase their connection within, and with others. Compassionate Leadership replaces the fear-based leadership so prevalent in corporate culture and enables us to treat one another humanely, which leads to accelerated and sustainable results.
Rena’s clients range from start-ups to Fortune 500 companies across industries including pharma, banking, and retail specifically within the creative/marketing function within organizations. Rena draws upon her own experience leading Creative/Marketing Operations at JCrew and Kenneth Cole for a combined 15 years.
Rena has a BFA from the School of Visual Arts. Her book, Compassionate Leadership, and her TEDxTalk, Compassionate Management — using compassion as a business tool, have been used in businesses around the globe as a model to radically change leadership culture and how we treat one another.
